I’m Martin Stubbs, owner of M. Stubbs Building and Roofing Services. In creating the company I’m following in the footsteps of my Dad Gus, who worked for many years in the building trade, often taking me along to jobs with him and teaching me the skills and techniques that every good builder needs – to the highest standards. He also taught me the value of integrity, reliability, fair pricing and the satisfaction of delivering a very high quality finish to every job.
As an adult I continue to train and improve, adding to my skills repertoire and including other important aspects such as First Aid and Site Supervisors Safety Training.
Now, with 25 years’ experience in the building industry, my team and I put all those skills, training and high standards to use each day working on a variety of building projects for both the private and the commercial sectors.

The key benefit we can bring to all our clients is that we offer a one-stop-shop for your building project needs. We can provide everything from joinery skills to plastering, from plumbing to tiling, along with plenty of creative ideas – often without having to rely on other sub-contractors. However if the project is large or calls for skills or support that we do not have “in-house”, we’ll co-ordinate and manage other tradesmen as required, always being alert to building regulations.
We work regularly with well-established architects who we can rely on for jobs needing architectural plans & designs – as well as planning permission from local authorities. Plus when the building work is complete, we can recommend and co-ordinate top quality but affordable painters & decorators who can add those finishing touches.
We find our ability to manage the whole job right from the start saves our clients a lot of time and stress, leaving them to get on with life whilst we get on with their dream home, extension, renovation etc.
These days a high percentage of our work comes from word of mouth recommendations which we believe underlines the quality of our workmanship, the experience of our team and the trust our clients have in us.
